Be Still

I am sitting in the car on my way back from my brother’s baseball tournament with my headphones in listening to worship music, and I am at a loss for words. Every time I pray, and every time I have a conversation with God, I feel like I am the ONLY person in the world. How amazing is it that Our Savior has the ability to make us feel so loved and worthy? Not only does God make me feel like the only person in the world, but He is making millions and millions of people feel that way at the exact same time. The powers of Our God are beyond our comprehension. If He wants something done, He can make it happen so easily. Nothing can ever come in between the power of The Lord. Not our sins, our hopes, our dreams…nothing. So be still and know that YOU are exactly where YOU are meant to be. God commands us to be still. There is nothing that we can do that can come in between His power, so it is our job to honor Him in all of our ways and let Him work great measures in our lives.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

This does not mean “Keep worrying and know that I am God.” Instead, understand this verse as simply as it is stated. God makes his commands for us so clear. Be still. If God intends it, there is nothing that can prevent it.
